If you're visiting this website, chances are you already know Meg, or know something about Meg. But I'll give you a little background anyway.
If one word could be used to describe Meg, that word would be extraordinary. Yeah...I know....lots of people think they're extraordinary. Lots of people are also wrong.
It's not how Meg is dealing with her health issues (more on the 'Meg's Battle' page), but it's the way she conducts her life that makes her truly special. Meg has tackled more issues in her 36 years than most people face in 100. And she has done so with honesty, grace, and--above all--an unbelievably wicked sense of humor.

Steve is also extraordinary. (Just don't tell him we think so!) He is Meg's significant other & the love of her life. Not only does he put up with Meg (with the patience of a saint), but he tolerates all of US, too. He's also the man who keeps her going, keeps her sane, and gives her a swift kick in the rear when she needs it. (Many of us envy that part of his job description). He could have taken the easy way out--a lot of guys do when faced with obstacles like Meg's. (Notice I didn't refer to them as 'men').
We are the Solo Strutters--a group of folks (and a cow) from all over the U.S. dedicated to raising money to fight breast cancer. We are led by our team Mom, Judy. And Our Cow. We don't live in the same communities...many of us have never met Meg...but just as we come together in the battle against breast cancer, we are now united in supporting our friend--our inspiration--Meg.
Okay...gotta admit...Meg's kids are pretty extraordinary, too. Alex is on the left--she is Meg's mini-me, and at age 16 is already a seasoned breast cancer fundraising warrior. Brody is the middle kid, and a skilled wrestler. Rory, the football player, is a cancer survivor himself---he, too, fought leukemia, when he was just a toddler. Just like Mom, these three have dealt with far more than their share. Yet you will have a hard time finding a group of siblings (or any kids) as compassionate and well-adjusted as these. Don't know what Meg feeds them, but it's obviously a recipe she needs to copywrite and SELL.
